Station 16 Gallery is proud to announce their upcoming show Beautiful Bananas, a solo exhibition by American artist Reed Weily. The show indulges the artist’s obsession with vintage stickers, one of the most overlooked and underappreciated elements of popular culture ephemera.

His skull-like, robot collages are composed of thousands of internationally sourced vintage stickers and highlight the beautiful design, unique coloring and powerful nostalgia associated with adhesive materials that were never intended to stand the test of time. Like vintage jeans and t-shirts, the beauty of vintage stickers (and Weily’s work) is in the details, imperfections, and memories.
