Festival International de Jazz de Montréal
Description:Recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's largest jazz festival, for over 40 years the Festival has been the place where living legends meet emerging stars, and where jazz explodes at the crossroads of genres and influences in the heart of downtown Montreal.
Visual art is an integral part of FIJM's history, and a selection of pieces from the Festival's archives, including those by Serge Lemoyne, Zïlon, Marcel Barbeau, Tony Bennett and Alfred Pellan, are featured in an exhibition in collaboration with S16 Gallery. For the occasion, Montreal artist LeBicar has created an original work inspired by the Festival.
